This tasteful and fully-equipped apartment enjoys a fantastic location on the southern coast of Curaçao. To be precise: in the beautiful Sea Aquarium Beach area. An extensive stretch of white sandy beach, made up of various smaller beaches, each with its own unique atmosphere, ranging from tranquil to bustling and high-end. Mambo Beach in particular is one of the most famous beach clubs in the region. And, literally around the corner, is the Mambo Beach Boulevard (BLVD) shopping paradise, boasting dozens of great shops and stores offering fashion, jewellery, gifts, beauty and much more. It’s the perfect place to explore and shop. Of course, the main reason to visit Curaçao is the great beach life and Caribbean feel. All that is also within easy reach. The passageway behind the swimming pool at The Beach House leads directly to the sandy Mood beach and then the Cabana beach.

Living room, open kitchen and spacious covered balcony

This comfortable apartment with modern outfitting is located on the second floor of The Beach House. The complex of 12 apartments features a lobby, a lift and its own great swimming pool surrounded by numerous lounging areas. The apartment, finished in soft, tranquil shades, is completely tiled with anthracite-coloured paving slabs. Behind the main door, there is a corridor leading to all rooms. We start with the living room/open kitchen at the end of the corridor. The living room is spacious and features an attractive seating area in the corner. Including a TV, of course. The island/dining bar divides the area off from the smart and modern open kitchen. It features everything you need for a pleasant stay: electric hob, oven, luxury American (double) refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster. The kitchen features white units and a black-and-white mixed granite worktop. A wide sliding door leads directly to a spacious covered balcony offering plenty of privacy. The balcony also features anthracite-coloured paving slabs. The views here across the beaches, palms and ocean are breath-taking. In the evenings, you can enjoy the stunning and ever-changing sunsets. In other words, a place of never-failing interest.

Sleeping & bathing

Leaving the living room, we return to the corridor, which features fitted cupboard space. Adjoining the corridor are a spacious master bedroom with air-conditioning and a private bathroom (also spacious). The bathroom, finished in tasteful sandy shades, boasts a walk-in shower (with glass panelling), a wash basin with vanity unit and a wall-hung toilet. Behind the next door is a second double bedroom, also with air-conditioning. On the opposite side, there is a useful second bathroom, finished in the same style as the bathroom described above, but slightly smaller: walk-in shower, wash basin with vanity unit and wall-hung toilet.

Plenty to do

Curaçao, referred to lovingly by the islanders as ‘dushi Korsow’, is known for its culinary and cultural diversity. Of course, this tropical island is mostly famed for its sun, sandy beaches and spectacular underwater world. Snorkelling, diving, swimming with dolphins – you can do it all on Curaçao.

Anyone who loves bustling beach life will be perfectly at home at The Beach House. Well-known beach clubs are just a stone’s throw away. That means dining, drinking, dancing, live music and DJs. Plus, the Mambo Beach BLVD shopping centre is just around the corner. There are also two great playgrounds for the children. In a nutshell, this is right at the heart of bustling Curaçao.

But there is much more than beach and underwater life to enjoy. The Beach House also serves as the perfect base for an island discovery. There is a car rental next door and a secured (free) parking space. Take a saunter through the colourful Willemstad, with its historic centre and unbeatable atmosphere. It’s only a 15-minute drive away by car. Or why not explore Christoffelberg, the rugged north coast of the island or Westpunt? Drive through authentic villages, past plantations from yesteryear, country houses and forts. And encounter pink flamingos in one of the island’s many salt pans. If you want to feel the wind in your ears, take a trek with a rental buggy or quad bike.

When you think of sport on Curaçao, you probably think of water and underwater sports: swimming, diving, snorkelling and jet skiing. But there’s so much more for sports lovers. Right next to The Beach House, there’s a luxury gym, with its own sauna (Blue Maxx). There are also several golf clubs. Finally, lovers of cycling (mainly the Dutch...): can enjoy the many cycle paths that lead across the island.
